water marble

These are my Water Marble nails.

Step 1 First of all, start off with a base coat to protect your natural nails.

Step 2
Paint your ring finger nail white.
Step 3
Paint your remaining fingers a bright blue.I used blue but you can use any colour you want.

Step 4

Wrap sellotape around your skin around your ring finger as this will make the cleaning up easier later on.

Step 5
Fill up a bowl with room temperature water. Pick any colours you want and have them next to the bowl. Its better to have the caps open for this as you will need to work pretty fast.

Step 6
Drop one droplet of each colour into the water, alternating the colours. (I used one blue, one orange, one purple. One blue, one orange, one purple.)

Step 7
Use a toothpick to create a design in the water.

Step 8
Dip your finger into the water and leave for about 10 seconds, while blowing on the water. This will quickly dry the nail polish on the surface of the water.

Step 9
Gently swirl the toothpick around the surface of the water, to clean up the excess nail polish.

Step 10
Slowly remove your nail from the water.

Step 11
Remove the sellotape to reveal your design. Use a clear top coat to seal in your design.

Voila :)

ombre nails

These are my ombré nail design.

Step 1
Use a base coat to protect your natural nails.

Step 2
Using a foundation sponge, paint a stripe of pink nail varnish (the size of half your nail) and a stripe of blue nail varnish (again, half the size of your nail) onto the sponge.
Step 3Roll the sponge from left to right on your nail and dab gently. Don't try to be too exact when you are dabbing, because you want a blended effect.

Step 4
Repeat step 4 until you get a more opaque finish.

Step 5
Add some top coat with glitter. (The glitter is optional.)

Voila :)
