Christmas Nail Art Guide

Happy Christmas!!!

Here are five different nail art ideas to choose from. Before you start, use a base coat on all your nails!!!

Santa's belt

Paint your little finger two coats of red. Leave to dry and use a black striper to create a thick black line across your nail. Then, use a gold striper to create a square for the buckle.

Santa Claus

Paint one-third of your ring finger nail red. Use a white striper to create the beard. To do this, just paint the tip of your nail white as if you were doing French tips. Using a dotting tool dipped into white, create dots across the end of the red for the fur on his hat. Use a smaller dotting tool dipped into black to create the eyes, and then a dotting tool dipped into pink for the nose.

Rudolph

Paint two coats of dark brown. Once dry, use a dotting tool dipped into light brown to create antlers. Use a white dotter to create the eyes and then a smaller dotter dipper in black for the pupils. Paint a half red circle at the end of your nail for his nose.

Penguin

Paint your nail black. Once dry, leave a tiny bit off the black and paint the rest of your nail white. Use a black dotting tool for the eyes and an orange dotting tool for the nose and feet.

Frosty the Snowman

Paint your thumb nail two coats of white. Leave to dry and use a black striper to paint a straight line across your nail about one-third of the way down and fill it in. Use a dotting tool dipped into black to create the two eyes and the mouth made of coal. Then, use a dotting tool dipped into orange to create the carrot for the nose.

Finish off by sealing in all of your designs with a top coat.
Voila...:)

Hallowe'en Nail Guide

Happy Halloween! Here are some designs.

Ghost
Paint your thumb white and leave to dry. Use a dotting tool dipped into black to create two black eyes. Use the same dotting tool dipped into black to create an oval for the mouth. To do this, create a circle and drag the dotting tool down until you create an oval.

Jack-o-Lantern
Paint your index finger orange. Use a dotting tool dipped into black to make the eyes. Use a black striper to create a curved line for the smile. Leave to dry and use a smaller dotter dipped in the orange to create the pupils and the teeth.

Frankenstein
Paint your nail a light green and use a black striper to create small triangles coming down from your cuticles for the hair. Use a dotting tool dipped in black for the eyes. Create the eyebrows by drawing two thin black lines above the eyes using a striper. Paint a diagonal black line for the mouth and stitch it up by painting a few vertical black lines. Use a dotter dipped in white for the pupils.

Skeleton
Paint your nail white. Use a dotter dipped in black to create two oval shapes for the eyes. Create the nose by drawing two tiny, black, vertical lines. Use a black striper to create a curved line for the smile. Draw a few vertical lines with the black striper on the curved line to finish off the smile.

Spider's Web
Paint your nail purple. Use a black striper to create thin, curved lines in the shape of a web. Use the black striper again to create diagonal lines coming from the tip of the web to the bottom of your nail.
Seal in your designs with a top coat.

Voila :)

starry night

These are my starry night nails. They are inspired by Perrie Edwards false nails collection.

Step 1
Use a base coat on all your nails to protect them.

Step 2
Paint your nails with two thin coats of white. This will make the ombré more opaque.

Step 3
Paint a line of purple and a line of deep blue on a foundation sponge, overlapping the two colours.
Sponge this onto your nails, rolling the sponge from left to right. You may need to repeat this step a few times until the colour is more opaque.

Step 4
I then used a clear coat which has stars and sparkles in it, but if you don't have a clear coat with stars, any clear coat with sparkles will do.

Step 5
Seal in your design with a clear top coat.

Voila :)

Tropical Sunset

Step 1
.First of all, start off with a clear base coat.

Step 2
Paint your nails two coats of a white nail varnish. This step will make the ombré more opaque.

Step 3
Take a foundation sponge and paint one stripe of pink, one stripe of orange and one stripe of yellow, overlapping each other. Dab the sponge on a piece of paper to get rid of the excess polish. Roll the sponge from right to left on your nail until the ombré is opaque.

Step 4
Use a fast drying top coat while the polish is still a bit wet to blend the colours even more.

Step 5
To create the palm tree, use a black striper to create a slightly curved line, pressing a bit harder as you reach the end of the line to make the end of the tree thicker.

Step 6
Make small flicks coming out of the line we made earlier, using a black striper to create the leaves.

Step 7
Once you're happy with your palm tree, leave to dry, then use a fast drying top coat just on your ring finger where you painted the tree as you already used a top coat on the rest of your nails to blend the colours.

Voila...:)

water marble

These are my Water Marble nails.

Step 1 First of all, start off with a base coat to protect your natural nails.

Step 2
Paint your ring finger nail white.
Step 3
Paint your remaining fingers a bright blue.I used blue but you can use any colour you want.

Step 4

Wrap sellotape around your skin around your ring finger as this will make the cleaning up easier later on.

Step 5
Fill up a bowl with room temperature water. Pick any colours you want and have them next to the bowl. Its better to have the caps open for this as you will need to work pretty fast.

Step 6
Drop one droplet of each colour into the water, alternating the colours. (I used one blue, one orange, one purple. One blue, one orange, one purple.)

Step 7
Use a toothpick to create a design in the water.

Step 8
Dip your finger into the water and leave for about 10 seconds, while blowing on the water. This will quickly dry the nail polish on the surface of the water.

Step 9
Gently swirl the toothpick around the surface of the water, to clean up the excess nail polish.

Step 10
Slowly remove your nail from the water.

Step 11
Remove the sellotape to reveal your design. Use a clear top coat to seal in your design.

Voila :)

ombre nails

These are my ombré nail design.

Step 1
Use a base coat to protect your natural nails.

Step 2
Using a foundation sponge, paint a stripe of pink nail varnish (the size of half your nail) and a stripe of blue nail varnish (again, half the size of your nail) onto the sponge.
Step 3Roll the sponge from left to right on your nail and dab gently. Don't try to be too exact when you are dabbing, because you want a blended effect.

Step 4
Repeat step 4 until you get a more opaque finish.

Step 5
Add some top coat with glitter. (The glitter is optional.)

Voila :)
