DIY Nail Book

Sometimes I find it hard to see all of my nail varnishes and what colours I have, so I decided to make this very simple, very fun, and very useful nail book!
I bought this floral copybook from Easons and then designed my own label for the front.

The inside of the book is very simple. On each page I have three rows of three swatches, with the brand and name of each polish underneath. You can lay out each page however you like. I decided to keep pastels together, glitters together, winter colours together etc. However you can always decide to keep each brand together if you prefer.

I use the pages at the back of the book to write down any ideas for blog posts that I have, such as designs, DIYs and reviews.
I find this book extremely useful to see what polishes I have quickly and to make sure I get the most out of my polishes.
I hope that you enjoyed this little DIY and give it a try yourself!
Thanks for reading!

Minion Nails

With the new Minions movie being released, I decided to take the opportunity to create some cute minion nails. So let's get started!

Step 1
Start off with a base coat

Step 2
Paint your ring finger two thin coats of yellow

Step 3
Use a black striper to create a thick black line about one-third down your nail

Step 4
Dip a large dotter into grey and create a large dot in the middle of the black line

Step 5
Using a slightly smaller white dotter, create his eye by adding a white dot inside the grey one

Step 6
Using a toothpick dipped into black polish, add a dot inside the white dot for his pupil

Step 7
Create a blue or teal stripe along the tip of your nail for his overalls

Step 8
Create a small smile by either using a black striper or a toothpick dipped into black polish. I used a toothpick as I found I had more control than if I was to use a striper

Step 9
Paint the rest of your nails white

Step 10
Using various sizes of dotters, create a few dots on each nail using the colours that you used to create the minion (yellow, teal, grey)

Step 11
Seal in with a top coat

I hope you guys like this design and enjoy the new movie!!

Fan Brush Nail Art

Hi guys! Today I have a fun and easy design for you. The only tool that is needed for this design is a fan brush, which you can find at any drugstore. I got mine in Boots for a very cheap price! So let's get started!

Step 1
Start off with a base coat to protect your natural nails

Step 2
Paint your ring finger two thin coats of white

Step 3
Place a drop of mint polish onto a sheet of paper. Dip your fan brush into the polish and lightly run it over your nail from side to side.

Step 4
Place a drop of pink polish onto a sheet of paper and repeat the same motion as in step 3

Step 5
Dip your fan brush into a purple polish and again, repeat the same motion as in steps 3 and 4

Step 6
Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 until you reach your desired look

Step 7
Paint the rest of your nails mint

Step 8
Seal in your design with a top coat

Step 9 (optional)
Add a gem to the design on your ring finger

I hope you enjoyed this design and give it a try. Also follow me on Instagram to be updated on when I post a new tutorial! My username is @nailitbyciara
